What We Believe

About Salvation

We believe in the verbally inspired Word of God, which is the final authority (2Tim 3:16; 2Pet 1:21); we believe the King James Bible is the inspired word of God for the English speaking people.  We also believe Salvation is obtained only by putting trust in the finished work of Calvary by Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God.  Salvation is by faith in the Gospel: the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ (1Cor. 15:1-4).  We believe we can only be saved when God, through the Holy Spirit, and by the Word of God, reveals Himself and reveals our sinful state to us personally (Jn. 6:44; 9:35-38).  Once we, by the conviction of the Holy Spirit, see ourselves in a sinful, lost condition, then we have the opportunity to repent and turn to Jesus (Lk. 19:10).  We believe we are saved by grace through faith, plus nothing, minus nothing (Eph 2:8,9).  In addition, we are kept by the Holy Spirit–not our good works or accomplishments (Tit 3:5, Eph. 4:30, 1Pet 1:5).  We attribute the work of Salvation to the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work, therefore accrediting all glory and honor to His precious blood which is payment for our sin (1Pet 1:18, 19).

About the Church

While the Church, as a whole, was purchased and birthed by Christ Jesus (Acts 20:28; Eph 1:7), we believe the local church is representative as ambassadors for Christ to reconcile the world unto Himself (2Cor. 5:20).  We also believe in supporting the local church with faithful attendance as well as the giving of tithes and offerings.  We believe we conduct the ministry which God has entrusted to us, through the local church; we do not minister independent of the local church.  We believe that when we minister to local churches, through evangelism, we do so under the leadership and authority of that local pastor, whom God has placed and whom will be led by the Holy Spirit for direction of services and formalities.

About the ministry

We believe the ministry is all about Jesus; the talents He gives us are used for His glory and as a blessing to those we minister to. We count it all joy and honor to be used by our Savior to share the Gospel with the world through preaching and to minister to the saints through singing.  We believe that while singing does compliment and prepare hearts for worship, it does not supersede nor will it substitute the preaching of God’s Holy Word. We completely depend upon the Holy Spirit to open doors where He wants us to be used in the ministry.  The work accomplished will only be accomplished through and by the power of God and at His direction.

About you

We believe we have been put here to serve you, our listeners. Our desire is to impact your life with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, whether it be by the straight preaching of God’s word, or singing a song that touches your heart, taking you to a place of worship.  It is our sincere hope and desire that YOU know HIM and that HE knows YOU (Matt. 25:12).  YOU are the purpose for the sacrifice HE made on Calvary’s cross, and YOU are the purpose for HIM sending US to YOU!
